Tell us about yourself.
I’m a little bit of a jack of all trades, master of none (which is actually why it’s one of my favorite quotes especially when read in full). I geek out over Marvel, Star Trek, Harry Potter, and usually anything that can be referred to as nerdy. I love traveling and exploring different cultures while tasting local cuisines. I grew up as a competitive dancer, so dance holds a very special place in my heart. I love watching sports especially soccer and football (go Giants!).
Why GFA?
I believe that global change can’t happen in a vacuum. I feel like GFA helps bridge the gaps between communities and that was a huge draw for me.
What does “Public Service” mean to you?
I think public service boils down to “the golden rule” where we treat others as we would like to be treated. Making healthcare focused on communities again as opposed to individualistic health and reactive care.
Describe your job in one sentence.
Working with government and community officials to help reduce the opioid crisis.
What’s one thing you would change about gov’t?
The bureaucracy.
What makes you feel connected to those you serve?
Knowing that we’re all not so different.
